The Community Justice Support Program (CJSP)’s goals are to promote collaboration amongst the client, multiple system partners, and the community; Increase access to mental health services for individuals who experience serious mental illness and who are justice involved with goals to improve mental health and overall wellness, while reducing and/or eliminating criminogenic behaviors. Other goals include; Reducing jail recidivism, time in custody, and overall justice involvement; Improve care coordination across multiple systems (Jail Psychiatric Services, BHS, Probation, Courts, GMC, APS/CPS etc.); Improve access to housing supports, medication support, mental health, and substance use disorder treatment services.; Improve client experience in achieving and maintaining wellness.
CJSP is funded through: Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health Services and through Proposition 63, the Mental Health Services Act
